Dear Third Grade Families,
I hope everyone is well! We are entering our last full week of school before Christmas break, and we are excited for all the festive and meaningful activities! Here’s a look at what's coming up for the week of Dec. 8 -Dec. 12. Please make sure to read all the important information below to avoid any questions that may already be addressed. If you missed last week’s email, you can find updates on my school blog: Third Grade Blog.
Maternity Leave
My last day will be today, Friday, December 5, and Mrs. Ednaliza Garcia will officially take over our class beginning Monday, December 8. Mrs. Garcia is fully prepared and excited to support our third graders. She has already been assisting in the classroom and is familiar with our routines, expectations, and curriculum. I am confident that the students will continue to thrive under her care.
During my leave, I will not have access to my school email, as it will be deactivated. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Garcia at [email protected]. Please keep in mind her office hours and allow 24 hours for her to respond to your emails.
Internet Safety Activity & Parent Guide
Today, our 3rd–5th grade students participated in an important Internet Safety lesson focused on helping children learn how to make safe and responsible choices online. The students did a wonderful job engaging in the discussion and activities.
Your child brought home a Parent Guide to Smartphone Safety flyer. I highly encourage you to review this resource and take a few minutes to talk with your child about the topics covered. Open conversations at home help reinforce what we discuss in the classroom and empower students to make safe decisions.
Sunday, Dec7th – Family Mass
Dec 7th is our monthly Family Mass. See you at 11am! If your child wears their Formal Mass uniform, they can get a Free Dress pass. They just need to check in with a staff member in room 5 after Mass to prove they were present and in their Mass uniform.
Monday, Dec 8th - All School Mass
Our All School Mass will be on Monday, Dec 8th for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception All students must wear FORMAL MASS UNIFORM. Classes with scheduled PE on Monday must wear their PE uniforms underneath their mass uniform.
For Friday Dec. 12th, students may wear their regular uniform.
