Meet Your Kindergarten Teacher!
Hello St. Anthony of Padua Families!
My name is Mrs. Marian Garrido, and I am so blessed and excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher!
I graduated from Pacific Oaks College with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, with a major in Elementary Education.
I have worked in education for about ten years and have had the opportunity to work with children in many different roles, including as a K–5 Teacher’s Assistant, Special Education Paraprofessional, 1st Grade Teacher, and 3rd Grade Teacher. Each experience has helped shape me as an educator and has deepened my love for working with children.
Now, I am incredibly grateful to continue my journey as a Kindergarten Teacher here at St. Anthony of Padua. Kindergarten is such a special year because it is filled with so many firsts—new friendships, new discoveries, new challenges, and countless opportunities to grow. I feel truly honored to be part of this important chapter in your child’s life.
Being a teacher allows me to inspire and guide children not only within the classroom, but also as they grow into compassionate, confident, and faith-filled individuals who can make a positive difference in our imperfect world. My goal is not to mold my students into someone “perfect,” but rather to help them discover, develop, and celebrate their own God-given talents and unique gifts.
I believe that every child has something special to offer, and I look forward to creating a classroom community where each child feels loved, valued, supported, and encouraged to be themselves.
I am so excited for all the learning, laughter, growth, and memories we will create together this school year. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your child’s educational journey. I look forward to partnering with your family and making this a wonderful and meaningful Kindergarten year!
