St. Anthony of Padua School offers after-school athletic opportunities that encourage our students to grow in skill, character, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our sports program includes Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer, giving students opportunities to develop their athletic abilities while building friendships, confidence, and a strong sense of teamwork.
Generally, students in 7th and 8th grades are eligible to participate on our Varsity “A” teams, while students in 5th and 6th grades may participate on our “B” teams. Team placement and participation may vary depending on the sport and season.
We are proud to be part of the CYO Big South League, where our student-athletes have the opportunity to represent St. Anthony of Padua School and compete with other Catholic schools in our community.
We are also grateful for our partnership with the St. Sebastian Sports Project, which helps expand athletic opportunities for our students through additional training, skill development, and sports programming. This partnership supports our commitment to providing a positive and enriching athletic experience where students can learn the fundamentals of their sport, strengthen their abilities, and grow as teammates.
At St. Anthony, we believe athletics are an important part of a well-rounded education. Through sports, our students are encouraged to do their personal best, practice good sportsmanship, develop self-discipline, and grow in confidence and character. Athletics also provide our students with opportunities to learn perseverance, celebrate one another's accomplishments, and put our school values into action.
Whether competing on a team, developing new skills, or simply discovering a love for sports, our student-athletes are encouraged to play with purpose, compete with integrity, and grow together as a community.
