Dear Third Grade Families,
I hope everyone is doing well and are having a fun & blessed Easter break! I wanted to share that I will be returning from my maternity leave on April 13th, and I am truly excited to be back in the classroom and reconnect with our wonderful third grade students.
Here’s a look at what's coming up for the week of April 13-April 17. Please make sure to read all the important information below to avoid any questions that may already be addressed. If you missed last week’s email, you can find updates on my school blog: Third Grade Blog.
Transition
As I transition back into teaching while also adjusting to motherhood, I kindly ask for your patience and grace—especially when it comes to email communication. I will do my very best to respond to all emails as promptly as possible while navigating this new routine.
At this time, I would like to keep my working hours between 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. If you send an email outside of those hours, please allow 24–48 hours for a response. I truly appreciate your understanding and support in helping me maintain a healthy balance during this transition. There may be times when I send emails or responses outside of typical working hours when I am home and available.
Please know that I am committed to staying on top of our classroom responsibilities, and I will ensure that grades are updated on a weekly basis.
There may have been some slight changes to routines while I was away; however, we will be transitioning back to our regular classroom expectations and procedures, including homework, assessments, and our daily schedule, as they were before my leave.
Mrs. Ednaliza Garcia
I would also like to give a special shoutout to Mrs. Garcia, our long-term substitute. She has been absolutely amazing during this time and has taken such great care of our students. I am incredibly grateful for all of her hard work and support in making this transition as smooth as possible.
ELA Lesson 16
I was notified that the Lesson 16 blue worksheet and vocabulary words were accidentally given out and assigned on Google Classroom. To avoid confusion, we will be repeating this lesson during the week, and I will be sure to clarify expectations with the students.
