Dear Parents,
Please review the important updates, events, and upcoming deadlines below. Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Dismissal Procedure for After-School Programs
Students in after-school programs, sports, or walk home will stay with the class until dismissal/car line procedures are completed. Walk home students will be sent to the designated gate for them to walk home. Students will not be allowed to walk across car traffic unless driven by Mr. Flores - I will not leave my area to walk students over. Please plan accordingly.

Reminders:
Attendance / Tardy Policy
Attendance & Work Habit Grade:
All absences—excused or unexcused—count toward your child’s attendance work habit grade.
Tardies Count:
A student’s total number of tardies within the trimester is also included in their attendance grade.
Tardy Definition:
Students are marked tardy if they are not seated and prepared with materials by 7:50 a.m.
After the Bell = Tardy:
Even if your child is dropped off earlier, entering the classroom at 7:51 a.m. or later (after the tardy bell) results in a tardy.
Chronic Tardiness:
If a student reports not having enough time to prepare, families are encouraged to arrive earlier to prevent a chronic issue that impacts attendance standing and registration for the upcoming school year.
Serious Attendance Impact:
Chronic absenteeism or tardiness may result in a registration hold or dismissal beginning early 2026.
Absence Notification Requirement (Very Important):
Parent absence emails must be sent before 8:00 a.m. on the day of the absence. Emails sent after this time will result in the absence being unexcused.
Academic Consequences:
Unexcused absences affect your child’s ability to make up missed projects, activities, or tests, which directly impacts academic performance.
