8/10-8/14 Third Grade Highlights

Dear Third Grade Families,

I hope this message finds you well! As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I wanted to remind everyone about our Community Supplies, Emergency Bag, and Classroom Wishlist Drop-Off on August 12–13 from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.

To help make the drop-off process smooth and avoid disturbing the school office, I kindly ask all families to enter and exit through the Berendo Gate.

First Day of School

Our first day of school is Tuesday, August 18! I'll be sending another email next week with important information about the first week of school, classroom procedures, and other reminders. Please note that I send a weekly email every Friday or Saturday with important updates, reminders, and information for the upcoming week. I encourage all families to read these emails carefully, as they will be my primary form of communication throughout the school year.

For now, let's focus on getting everything ready for our supply drop-off days.

Community Supplies, Emergency Bag & Classroom Wishlist Drop-Off

Dates: August 12–13
 Time: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
 Location: Please enter and exit through the Berendo Gate.

Drop-Off Instructions

• Clearly labeled boxes will be placed outside our classroom for community supplies.
• Please sort your items into the appropriate labeled boxes.
• Don't forget to sign the roster before you leave.

If you're having trouble finding the required composition notebook or any other supplies, please reach out to me. 

Please note: Personal supplies should be brought to school on the first day of school (August 18).

Emergency Bag

Please prepare a gallon-sized Ziplock bag labeled with your child's name. Include the following non-perishable items:

• 1 family photo
• 1 letter from parents expressing love and encouragement
• 2–3 favorite snacks (granola bars, Rice Krispies Treats, pretzels, crackers, etc.)
• 1 eight-ounce bottle of water

These emergency bags will remain at school and will only be used in the event of an earthquake, lockdown, or other emergency.
