Happy Friday Third Grade families,
Here are some reminders for our first week of school! I am thrilled to begin this new academic year together. Here are some important reminders to help your child have a smooth and successful start for the week of 8/18-8/21. I ask everyone to please read all the information I post or email to avoid questions covered in detail by the email and posts I have put out.
COMMUNITY SUPPLIES DROP OFF – TODAY UNTIL 3:00 PM
I want to kindly follow up regarding our Community Supplies Drop-Off. Unfortunately, only 9 families were able to drop off their supplies on the scheduled drop-off days.
I completely understand that families are busy and that parents have work and other responsibilities. However, if you are planning to drop off your supplies on a different day, please communicate with me ahead of time. I also have many things to prepare for the first week of school, and knowing when items will be dropped off helps me plan accordingly.
Please keep in mind that dropping off the supplies during the first few days of school is not helpful for our classroom. Those first days are very busy, as I need to attend to the students, establish routines, and make sure everyone has a smooth start to the school year. I also need time to sort and organize all of the community supplies in the classroom, which is why specific drop-off days were scheduled.
If you have not yet dropped off your supplies, you may still do so today, Friday, until 3:00 PM. There will be boxes outside our classroom where you can place your items.
I may not be available to come outside, greet you, or chat with you when you drop them off, as I will be working on preparations for the first week of school. Please feel free to leave your items in the designated boxes, and I will take care of them.
FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL 8/18-8/21
We have NOON DISMISSAL (12 noon) this week, DAYCARE is available from 12-6pm, please let the office know. If your child is staying in daycare, kindly make sure they bring their own lunch.
Students may arrive as early as 7:30am and tardy bell is at 7:50am. After dropping off your child in carline, they must wait and SIT by the brown benches in front of the office quietly. Students should not play nor run around in the morning.
Please NO lingering around the classroom and congregating. Please note that parents will not be allowed in the classroom unless you have a scheduled meeting with me or is helping your child to drop of some items in class.
Know that for security purposes, ALL Gates will be closed at 8am daily, after the 7:50 tardy bell rings. We will secure the campus at that time.

TEMPORARY ROSTER

Please know that our roster is still NOT finalized. Students’ numbers may still change, please don’t label your child’s materials with their number, you can label it with their name. I will let all families know once we have the finalized roster. Hopefully, I can assign the numbers to the students in 2 weeks.

To welcome all families on our first day of school, we are offering donuts and coffees to all the parents. Please join us at carline and brown benches. Donuts are only for parents/guardians not for students!
