Dear 8th Grade Families,
Happy Monday!Last Friday, our 8th graders had a wonderful and meaningful experience at the NET Retreat. They felt more connected to the missionaries and learned a great deal from them about their faith journeys.
We would also like to thank everyone who participated in our 8th Grade Ice Skating Fundraiser. It was such a joy to see our students having fun together outside of school!

No School on Tuesday, Happy Veterans’ Day! Thank you to all our veterans for their incredible service to our country!
Friday (11/14) - BLUE MASS at 8AM
Every year, the St. Anthony of Padua community celebrates, in a very special way, our brave men and women who serve our communities law enforcement, fire fighters and public safety.Following the Mass, our Hospitality Committee and Student Government will host a Continental Breakfast in the hall for our special guests. We would ask you to please share the flier attached to invite your family, friends, neighbors to our annual Mass. RSVP to the school office no later than Friday, November 7, 2025. We appreciate your help inviting those in our community to this very special Mass.
GradeLink Access
The First Trimester ends on November 14. Please note that GradeLink will not be accessible to parents and students after 3:00PM on Friday, November, 9, as teachers will be finalizing grades and comments.
Trimester Awards Ceremony
Our Trimester Awards will be held in the Hall on Tuesday, November 19.Grades K–4: 8:00 – 8:45 AM
Grades 5–8: 8:55 – 9:40 AM
Individual emails will be sent to families of students who will be receiving awards. Please see the qualifications below:
NJHS Awards
To qualify, students must:- Complete 10 service hours per trimester
- Maintain good academic and behavior standing
- Hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Earn no grade lower than a B-
- Have no conduct issues or detentions
Honors & Citizenship Awards
- 1st Honors: All A’s (including Handwriting, Music, and PE)
- 2nd Honors: A’s and B’s (including Handwriting, Music, and PE)
- Citizenship: A’s in both Work Habits and Behavior
Grading Scale:
A = 93–100% | B+ = 90–92% | B = 87–89% | B- = 85–86% | C+ = 80–84% | C = 75–79% | C- = 70–74% | D = 65–69% | F = 0–64%

As we come to the end of the first trimester, please take a moment to review the contract and calendar that were provided at the beginning of the school year. Let’s continue to remind our students to always give their personal best in everything they do to ensure a successful 8th-grade year.

Adopt-A-Family 2025 (Shir-Zai Family)
The Christmas season is just around the corner, and we’re excited to invite you to be part of something truly special. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Adopt A Family Christmas Program, we are adopting the Shir-Zai Family.
