First Grade Reminders

Good afternoon 1st Grade Families,

I just wanted to send a friendly reminder about pick-up and drop-off procedures. 

Please be sure to park in the small Berendo parking lot and walk your child to their classroom. We would like to reserve the parking spaces in front of the preschool for the preschool parents, especially on weekday mornings from 7:30am-8:30am. First grade is not allowed to use car line. Please do not double park on 163rd street. This causes traffic during pick-up and drop off.

There are a lot of people in the morning and it is an open campus for parishioners to also attend mass. For your child's safety, please walk your child to the classroom and have your child sit on the blue benches in front of the classroom or stand on their number after submitting their folders in the homework folder bin, so as to not get in the way of those who are also needing to get to their classroom.

Homework Folders for this week:

• *Parent forms are due Friday, August 21*
• Please review the homework folder and become familiar with the items they will need throughout the year.
• Please be familiar with the behavior chart to sign everyday
  • we will begin using the chart within the week.
  • Please sign daily
  • If your child has a minus in one of the boxes, please review this behavior with your child
  • If the chart is blank, this indicates your child had a good day and did not need reminders
  • I will also introduce a work habits chart shortly.
• Seesaw
  Your child has received their home learning code in their homework folder. Please ensure the app is downloaded at home. We will begin seesaw homework next week. Please keep your child’s Seesaw learning code in their homework folder.
