Dear Kinder Families,
Happy 22nd Week of Kindergarten! This week we are also celebrating our 1-0-0 days of school! We have come a long way since August, and I am constantly so proud of each of their growth and milestones thus far! I pray that God may continue to guide our children into a positive path in life.
Please carefully review this week's newsletter as we will be having a lot of activities this week!
100th Day of School!
On Wednesday, February 4th it will be our 100th day in Kindergarten! K-2 will be dressing up as 100-year olds and we will be celebrating our day with numerous 100th day activities! (Mrs. Garrido will also be dressed up!!) If you choose not to participate in dressing up, please wear your PE uniform as usual! Students will be excused from PE uniform for this week!
Friday Feb 6th - Mrs. Garrido Out!
I will be attending the 2026 Socal Kindergarten Conference in Pasadena with Ms. Catbagan (1st Grade Teacher). We will have the opportunity to attend numerous workshops and seminars to learn new ways to improve my skills as K-1 teachers! Ms. Johnson will be the substitute on Friday!
Wed Feb 11th - SAP Valentine’s Day Observation
This year, Valentine’s day does not fall during the School week.
As a school, we will be allowing students to wear RED on WEDNESDAY, FEB 11th to celebrate our LOVE!
Friday Feb 13th - KINDER Valentine’s Day Celebration
Although students are wearing red on Wednesday, KINDERGARTEN will be engaging in Valentine’s Day lessons and activities on FRIDAY! Students will still need to wear their Formal Mass Uniform, but we will also be celebrating it in OUR class on Friday :)
If you choose to bring goodies to pass out, please ensure you have 31 for each student. We do have students with dairy and peanut allergies, so please be mindful of what you will be sharing. I will NOT be letting them open the goodies during class, they will be sent home with everything!
**Please plan to send your child with a LARGE storage/grocery bag for your child to store their goodies. In many years, they tend to go home with A LOT of goodies!**
Wed Feb 18th - Ash Wednesday
Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18th. Students will wear their formal mass uniform as we will be attending mass to receive our ashes on our foreheads! Our Lenten season begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on April 2nd on Holy Thursday. For this season, we will be attending the Stations of the Cross every Friday too.
