I hope you had a good weekend. Here are some reminders for this week:
CHOIR REHEARSAL There is Choir Rehearsal today, Monday, September 29th at 3:15pm.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES Our STAR Window #1 testing ended last week on 9/23. We are getting ready to see you all for Parent Teacher conferences October 6-10. Remember, it is 12 Noon dismissal from Monday-Friday next week. Please plan accordingly. NO LUNCH will be provided that day. We still offer daycare and we encourage your child to join you in the scheduled conference, especially those in junior high.
TITLE SERVICES Title I services for Math and English are with Ms. Courtney Munder. The Title I Parent Zoom meeting for Title students is on Wed, 10/15 at 6:30pm. The Zoom link will be sent home on a sheet to parents with students who qualify. If your child qualifies, and you want them to receive services, parents must sign and return a Title I Consent form or services cannot begin. You may opt out if you choose, but these are services your child receives at no extra cost to you.
CHOCOLATE SALE Our Fall Chocolate Fundraiser is winding down. Our last Trojan Drawing is this Thursday, 10/2 at 1pm. Monies were due last Friday 9/26. Those who sold 5 or more boxes will qualify their child(ren) to earn a chance to see the Futboleros Soccer Entertainers, which will serve as an incentive for participation in this fundraiser. Our chocolate sale goes on until 10/15, and all monies are due by 10/24. We thank Nivia Joseph and all our parent volunteers for all their help and hard work!
USC Last Friday, our Junior High visited the USC college campus and had Mass at the Caruso Center. Thank you to Stefano Rebeggiani and Tom Arteaga for helping to host this visit for our middle school students!
SNACK SHACK Our Snack Shack returns and begins today, 9/29. It is hosted by our Student Government.
MEET THE MASTERS Tonight, 9/29, Meet the Masters will be having their art training session in the 4th-grade classroom from 6:30-8:30 pm. Thank you to Espy Jacobs and Laura Marquez for leading this class for volunteer parents, and Ms. Ekindi for letting us use your room. Remember, parents, no art experience necessary! Thanks for volunteering! Your children love to see their parents on campus leading these activities. Parent volunteers must be Virtus-certified and ADLA Fingerprinted to participate.
VOLLEYBALL Girls’ Volleyball practices continue every Wednesday and Friday. Coach Anthony returns this week! Thank you to Coach Ester Rebeggiani for stepping in to help during practices and games! Please check the Band app for updates.
LUNCH Please encourage your child to eat their full-ordered or packed lunch. Last year, we noticed a large amount of food being wasted, and even left in unusual places. Let’s work together to remind students that food should not be wasted. It is also important that students have a healthy lunch so please do not bring any sugary drinks.
PICK UP Please email me and the office anytime your child will be picked up by someone other than their primary pick-up person.
GRADELINK Parents are expected to check grades weekly with their child to stay on top of academics. Please sign up for phone notifications to help your child monitor progress. Make sure to always read the teacher comments.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a nice week!
