7TH GRADE SOCIAL 10/24 We will be having out 7th Grade Roller Rink Social Fundraiser on Friday, October 24th! The Fundraiser will be from 5:00 - 10:00pm. Our Social will be from 7-8pm at Pigeons Roller Rink!
7TH GRADE BAKE SALE Our class will be hosting the School Bake Sale on Sunday, November 2nd along with the 1st Grade class as part of our obligation to the school contract. Participation is mandatory, and non-participation will incur a $50 charge.
HALLOWEEN TRUNK OR TREAT OCTOBER 31ST Friday, October 31st will be a 12 Noon Dismissal. Costumes must be appropriate and pre-approved, or a student may be sent home to change. Costumes should be child-friendly. No inflatables, no gory or scary clowns, no devils, or scary costumes.
Costumes Should Not: Be obstructive, offensive, inappropriate for a Catholic school (short miniskirts or revealing tops), gory, evil, or violent Drag on the ground Contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another person. Contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon. Encourage cross-dressing. Boys dress up like boys and girls dress up like girls.
TALENT SHOW Last week we had an incredible Talent Show with about 34 acts! Thank you to Mrs. Jessica Garcia and all the parents and students who helped make this year’s show a success.
CATALINA FIELD TRIP ROSTER FINALIZED The Catalina Field Trip Roster has been finalized. All deposits and permission slips should be turned in to Mr.Aguilar. COLLEGE FAIR This Thursday, 10/23, Jr. High students will be presenting their annual College Fair Projects in the Hall starting at 10:30am. The doors in the hall will open at 10:30 a.m. Parents who would like to attend should enter by the front gate near the office, and let Ms. Hernandez know of their attendance via Sign Up Genius. We need you to RSVP in advance, so we know who to expect on campus. Thank you Ms.Hernandez for preparing our Junior High students!
JUNIOR HIGH CHRISTIAN SERVICE FOR LIFE FIELD TRIP We will have our Christian Service for Life Field Trip on Tuesday, October 28th. Permissions slips were handed out over a week ago. Students need to turn in the permission slip and families need to pay the $17 fee to Mr.Aguilar for a student to attend. Students can ONLY bring CLEAR bags with them.
RED RIBBON WEEK Next week we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week from 10/27-10/31, where we promote Drug Abuse Prevention. Activities will take place throughout the week in classrooms and through our Student Government to bring awareness to the important issue and to keep our kids safe. Students and teachers may come to school in red tops on 10/27. If you want to wear jeans or free dress bottoms, Student Government has a fundraiser for $1 to wear jeans to school. Otherwise, students will wear their uniform bottoms next Monday, 10/27.
PICTURE MAKE UP Wednesday, 11/5 is Picture Makeup Day if your child missed Fall Picture Day in September. They would need to come to school in their full Formal Mass Uniforms with white blouses/white Oxford shirts and wear their cardigans, vests, and ties. This picture is for the yearbook.
CHOCOLATE SALE Our Fall Chocolate Fundraiser ended on 10/15. We will begin our Winter Fundraiser: the Holiday Cash Raffle very soon. The winners will be announced on 12/15, the evening of our Christmas program. ALL Candy money payments must be made no later than this Friday, October 24 in the office or you will be invoiced.
All qualifying families who sold over the 4 required boxes of chocolate, will participate in the Futboleros show on 11/20. This is for all those who sold one or more boxes above the minimum requirement of 4 boxes. If your family sold over the minimum, ALL your children attending SAP can participate in this event. We will send out a list of those who qualified soon. Thank you for all your support!
FALL FESTIVAL RIDE TICKETS Please continue to purchase ride tickets for the Fall Festival 10/31-11/2 in the office. A sheet of 10 ride tickets is $30 (Cash only).
PICK UP Please email me and the office anytime your child will be picked up by someone other than their primary pick-up person.
GRADELINK Parents are expected to check grades weekly with their child to stay on top of academics. Please sign up for phone notifications to help your child monitor progress. Make sure to always read the teacher comments.
